Letter Writing Challenge

Even though I didn’t participate officially in the Letter Writing Challenge this past February (yeah, I'm a little behind) because of school, I still managed to get some mail out. I did participate last year (2012) (you can read about it here). Here's what I sent out this past February 2013:

Letters: 8
Postcards: 8
Birthday cards: 15
Other cards: 15
Packages with cards: 28

Giving me a grand total of 74. Not bad since the challenge was to send out one thing a day, which would be about 28, although it's less than that because they don't count Sundays.

Did you know I love writing letters? And hand-written to boot. You can check out my web on The Lost Art of Letter Writing at lynnobermoeller.com

You've got six months to gear up for 2014 Letter Writing Challenge! Mary Robinette Kowal created this idea, so check it out.

  1. Lynn, your new website is beautiful! One important thing you forgot to mention about yourself is that not only do you write so many fabulous notes....but you handmake your note cards!
I've recently been inspired to hand write to friends, too. Maybe I "caught" it from you somehow!

  2. Lynn--Please push/prod/pester me when February gets closer. Because of how much you "gift" people with your letters, I'd like to "pay it forward" and participate next year. (At least I'm saying that NOW. ;)

  4. Ah, yes, I have a handwritten letter from you here on my desk waiting for a reply. I have not forgotten! I did read your article in Well Versed and it is so good on remembering! Read others too...I am reading too much and must take a reading chill pill soon.

  6. You write the most beautiful letters my friend. I've enjoyed being part of the challenge these past two years. I look forward to next year! Enjoy your week!

  7. You spend as much in postage making persoanl connections as I do once a year with my Christmas cards. You have a gift! Like your new site.
