Book Blurb Friday #38

It’s Book Blurb Friday #38. Check out Book Blurb Guru Lisa Ricard Claro’s blog to play BBF. Basically you write a book blurb based on the photo (that being the cover of the book) and you must do it in 150 words or less. This week’s beautiful photo cover is by Lisa’s husband, Joseph. (Ooops, I think the last photo taken by Joseph, I called him Lisa's son!)

And in 91 words—

Why Can’t I Remember?
Obermoeller struggles daily trying to remember even the simplest things, but she won’t forget the day she competed in the 2007 Waikiki Surfers Annual Crazy Board contest. She fought for her life when a white killer shark attacked her board. Now bound to a wheel chair, read the true story of Obermoeller beating the odds to place third in the 2010 Waikiki’s Crazy Board competition and overcoming… uh… um…

“Seeing Obermoeller, it’s clear all things are possible. But man, hang ten baby with that whole memory thing.” Champion Surfer Sonny Beachwalk

  1. This sounds very exciting! And, boy, can I relate to to the memory struggle. LOL You didn't mess up the names--my husband and my son are both Joseph. :)

You're doing so great with NaNo! I'm worried about hitting the 50,000, but I'll keep plugging away. I'm way behind though. Hoping to catch up some this weekend.

  2. Lynn, you are so funny! Sorry that I'm laughing at your heartbreaking tale, lol. Hey, I read your story about Geoff and I LOVED it! Can't wait to read your book in progress when the time comes.

    Hugs,

  3. Thanks Lisa and no doubt you'll catch up with NaNo.
Kathy - and it's supposed to be funny, so I'm glad you laughed. And I'm glad you liked my Geoffrey story!

  4. Pity poor Obermoeller, bound to a wheelchair because of a shark, but I'm betting Sonny Beachwalk has his eye on her in more ways than one.

  5. From wheelchair to surf board. That's quite a journey. I know I'd be cheering her on.

The next time I'm in my wheelchair, I'll probably be wondering if I won a surf board contest and just can't remember it. :D

  6. I too have that memory problem--glad Obermoeller remembered to paddle away from the shark. That Obermoeller has done it again! Is there anything she can't do??!
