I
met Donna through blogging. I was a bit intimidated by Donna until I found out about
a dinner she had with a co-worker/friend. They started talking about writing
and publishing. Her co-worker said that her cousin writes too and it turns out
that cousin was me! I figured if Donna knew Janice (my cousin), then maybe
there wasn’t a need for me to be intimidated because I knew Janice wouldn’t be
friends with someone who wasn’t likeable. The more I get to know Donna, the
sweeter I find her to be. It also goes to show you what a small world it is… Happy
Birthday Donna! (I’m only guessing at your birthdate, since you didn’t tell me
– other than it was in June.)
Lynn--I appreciate that you only put one candle on the birthday cake, instead of the dozens some of us have "earned."
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good friend. (See, that is what I mean about not forgetting anything. ;)
I am always struck by how first-rate Donna really is...both as a writer and as a pleasant and gracious human being. Beautiful cake and nice tribute, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Donna! Wish I could have a piece of that cake.
