I’m
not one hundred percent sure, but I think this is Ruth and Bud’s 15th
Anniversary. It was about 17 years ago that my best friend (Bud’s sister) and
myself (Ruth’s sister) played match-maker and thought those two might make a
compatible couple. They had gone to grade school together, so it wasn’t like
they were complete strangers to one another. Ruth had lost her husband to
cancer, while Bud was divorced. They both seemed to be in a place where
companionship would do them good. And our match-making proved correct. My best
friend and I both have the same nephew – compliments of Ruth and Bud!
Hope
you guys have a great day!
food for thought: Have you ever played
match-maker? Did it work?
Congrats to Ruth and Bud! Yes, I did play matchmaker in a manner of speaking. I convinced my gal pal that she was silly to refuse to date a wonderful man she met just because he was shorter than she is (she's 5'9" and he's about 5'5"). I kind of shamed her into it, actually. lol Anyway, thanks to my prodding she said yes to a date. They were married a scant three months later and just celebrated 21 years. They have two kids, too, a boy and a girl. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to Ruth and Bud. I played matchmaker in high school and they are still married after 46 years.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to Bud and Ruth.
ReplyDeleteNo, I've never played matchmaker, and I imagine if I DID try, I wouldn't be very good at it.
Your flowers in the vase picture is beautiful, by the way...
We have set up friends, and have had fun on a few of these double dates! No real love connections, though.
