Good grief, I just looked at the date of my last post - November 13? Where have I been? Neglectful on the ole computer and online stuff, that I can say. I have been writing. I've been reading too - the Harry Potter books - all seven. I finished the last yesterday. All I can say is I was blown away and now get the whole Harry Potter thing.
I'll be keeping this as brief as I can. To all my blogger and other friends out there, I apologize for my negligence in reading and keeping up. I have no excuse. Not really. Just making other choices. But that doesn't mean I don't love you all. I do. And I miss you too! Really. Hopefully you'll receive a letter from me, if you haven't already. If not, remind me. (email me at lober13(at)gmail(dot)com) I will write. Hand write. I can never not do that... it's a crazy thing in me. I will, however, be just as neglectful the coming months in being online, as I play hard in finishing my children's book. Decided to bump up the ole goal date, but we'll see how it goes.
Also want to pass on my love to my cousin Joyce who just lost her husband (and to her children who lost their dad). Ken will be missed. He was the kind of person you had to like. There was no way around it.
And with that I'll say, love those you love.
So glad you are back. You are one of a kind with your wonderful letter writing. So sad to lose a loved on at this time of year. Sorry for your cousin.
ReplyDeleteDoing other things is more important. I think we make social networking way too important, and it gets us nowhere in the end. I shut down my blog to get on with life too. It's a new year, and a new beginning. Happy New Year and thanks for your recent handwritten(!) letter!
ReplyDeleteYes, just glad to see you back on the page again! Good luck with that book...it is a great time of year to produce!

ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI deleted my previous comment after I reread it and found a few typos. Oops!
I'm so glad you're back to blogging. Reading and being busy are delightful excuses. I admire your letter-writing passion and enjoy receiving your hand-made cards. Sorry to read about your cousin's husband. Losing a loved one is hard, but losing a loved one during the holidays brings a special kind of grief.
Hope you have a joyful and prosperous 2016.
Cheers and welcome back!
Okay...maybe we'll see you in another 7 or 8 weeks, then! Get to booking. I'll bet your book will be amazing. Notice I didn't use the ambiguous Seinfeld compliment, "breathtaking".
ReplyDeleteLynn--I mean this with love: Get off Blogger. Stay off the blogs.
ReplyDeleteAnd write. And draw. And envision what your book will be like once it's done. Iv'e seen the first draft, and it was stunning. I can't wait!
Hannah and Claire will love hearing you finished HP, I just did it last Summer and whew it was a lot of reading. I loved the chicken soup book! Thinking of you! Michelle
ReplyDeleteMiss seeing you here in cyberspace, but it sounds like you've made the right choice for you. :) Received my card. Seeing your return address, knowing what I have is a chatty and thoughtful handwritten note...well, it never gets old. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the sweet birthday card and Christmas card. I always know there's something unique in the envelope when I see your name on the return address. You are always so thoughtful!

Well I can't say a thing because I've been off blogs for a month. Nice to see you back, though, and I'm so sorry for your family's loss!
