You know that my story, Mistletoe, was one of 12 stories
that was accepted and published in the anthology, Fifty Shades of Santa, by Welkin Press. Fifty Shades of Santa is 12 (Nice, Not Naughty) Humorous Holiday
Romances.
Don’t you just love the cover?
Your granddaughter, Rita thought it would be a good idea for
me to read my story at the Italian dessert café/coffeehouse where she works as
the baker… all homemade pastries, breads, etc. In addition to coffee, they make
their own gelato, hence, The Gelateria. Never had gelato? Well you may want to
make the trip just for that experience. Did I mention the owner and all the
people who work there are super-dooper nice? And it’s such a cool place.
They’ve recently renovated the upstairs—where I’ll be located…
On Monday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m.
3197 S. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, 63110
314-776-3500
… and where I hope to entertain you with my story… and if
you’re coming straight from work, The Gelateria has food-food too... you know, not just desserts and sugary items. Check out the menu.
I suggested that Rita, the brains behind this shing-dig,
bring some of her hand-made egabrag crafts to sell for anyone who has some last
minute holiday shopping to do.
The fun doesn’t stop there… I’ll be doing a drawing for some
silly prizes. And there will be
free chocolate…
Not only that, but I have a special item for the first 25
people who stop by.
AND, we might have another special guest (or two) also doing
a reading from Fifty Shades of Santa!
Now if that doesn’t entice you to come with bells on, maybe
you’ll want to purchase Fifty Shades of
Santa when it’s available. UPDATE: Now available on Amazon - Kindle only - for just $3.99!
If I don’t see you, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New
Year!
Congrats, Lynn! Sounds great, wish I could go...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year in case we don't e-mail before 2013 :)
Lynn, what an awesome daughter you have! Sounds like a very cool event and I'll try to make it. Congrats again, too, on your acceptance!
ReplyDeleteWell you are certainly are coming out of your shell. You will have an awesome turnout bvecause you are an awesome writer and friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, darn. Wish I lived down the road a bit closer...would like to come. Are you selling the book, Lynn? I would like to have one.
ReplyDeleteLynn--I am chauffering a few writer friends/fans to this event. Marcia pointed out that since I cannot be a contributor to the anthology, I could at least drive around (and deliver) the gifted writers who ARE in the book. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget to mention the disco ball. That's the main reason I'll be attending.
Seriously, I'm so glad your kids prodded you (with an electric cattle prod, it sounds like). You ARE a wonderful writer and an incredible friend. It will be a great evening. (It will end around midnight, right? ;)
Sounds like fun! I hope to be there.

Dang! Let me know when you take this show on the road. It's a bit too far for me on a weeknight.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your publication. You're one in a dozen!
Congrats, Lynn! It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I hope you'll take some pics and post them later for those of us who live elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I hope to be there.
ReplyDeleteWell, dang. This shin-dig *almost* makes me want to leave Georgia! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a ton of fun and that you'll have a great turnout. Congrats again, Lynn. (And P.S. I read your Next Big Thing post, too. Sounds intriguing--good luck with that re-writing!)
Wow! I wish that I was closer, because I would come for sure.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your story being included in the new book, Lynn. I'm going to have to get me a copy.
Kathy M.
So proud of you for getting another one of your heartwarming stories out there! You did a great marketing job too! But I don't have a Kindle, how do "regular" people read this?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the publication, Lynn! I already bought a kindle copy from amazon, and of course read your story right away. Yay!
