SUPERIORITY

I’m amazed at the many definitions of superiority, but I like the slang version: beat the band or take the cake. The word superiority has an air about it so I prefer “reach a new high.” Isn’t that what we try and do in life in bettering ourselves?

food for thought: In what ways have you reached a new high?

  1. Letting go of the negative and striving for the positive. I like the phrase beating the band...your illustration, too.

  2. I like Linda's recent "high." That's the sort of achievement I strive for on a daily basis...

(And I love your illustration. That drum set is awesome.)

  3. When I saw the title of your post, I knew you'd have a wonderful take on it...but this beats the band AND takes the cake. I like Linda's definition, too. I've been trying to look at each day as a chance toward self actualization. At this rate I'll need to live to be about 350 to get there, but I'm enjoying myself!

  4. Love your illustration. It reminds me of The Archies on the old cartoon.

  5. Unfortunately, my new high usually shows up on the bathroom scale!

  6. Your sketch is great! It displays your superior talent. I can picture it on the cover of a middle-grade novel about a garage band comprised of 12-year-old musicians. Hmm....
