NaNoWriMo Day 2

Woot!Woot! Another day down! Today's word count isn't as much as yesterday's, but my day is pretty packed.

I wrote 2,403 words, bringing my total to about 8094. Leaving 41,906 to go!

Just wanted to clarify a few things for you creative folks out there who may have read my Be Creative blogpost. I'm not trying to put any pressure on anyone. It's all about challenging yourself to do something fun and creative. NaNoWriMo doesn't work for everyone. And that's okay. Do what works for you.

You may have read some of the comments--how one young lady is going to do something creative every day: draw, play guitar, bake, etc. Another person has to use time slots to work in her creative time.

I came up with another idea if you're stuck. Write each creative thing you want to do or work on and put them in a hat. Pull one out each day. If you don't like what you pulled and don't feel enthused, put it back in and pull out another. Be creative!

  2. You are rockin' the word count! I'm at 3411, just barely above the minimum. You're gonna make me step up my game!

  4. I continue to be impressed with your numbers. I just barely made my photo tally yesterday. I have found that I need to spend 2-3 solid hours taking pics to make my goal (at least these first two days), which is not unreasonable. However the post processing, editing, uploading to the computer and flickr is taking WAY more time than I expected. It's still fun though! And I already feel like I am getting better as using the camera, seeing and composing shots, etc. Tonight I start one of my new photo classes, which will take up a chunk of my time. Hopefully I'll still be able to get everything done!

  5. Victoria - thank you! You're an inspiration too!
Kim - you're doing great! I'm always amazed at myself, but then again I really can ramble on and on...
Pat - thank you - and if you were doing NaNo, you'd be right up there with me! Hope you're working on your other NaNo stories.
Kate - your creative endeavor IS more time consuming. I know how it is uploading the photos, sizing them, etc. It does take a long time and with the amount of pictures you are taking--geez! Cut yourself some slack. Your photos are stunning, so way to go!
