Book Blurb Friday #3

If you’re following me, by now you should have a good idea what Book Blurb Friday is – and this would be my 3rd attempt. Fellow friend blogger Lisa of Writing in the Buff is the creator of this meme. Check it out and play for fun, you’ll be surprised at the outcome – I always am. You are to write a book cover blurb (150 words max) based on the photo. This photo was taken by Kathy Matthews of Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy.

And now for Book Blurb Friday #3 in a whopping 84 words:

Kitchen Madness

Did Obermoeller really think she could surprise her husband for his 60th birthday during his company’s Christmas party? Did she really cook all the food for not only the holiday party, but for the additional 70 people—all under her husband’s nose? Did Obermoeller manage to sneak in all 70 people while her husband was in the other room without him knowing? Yes, yes and yes.

Kitchen Madness will teach you how to pull off the most outrageous parties and still maintain your sanity.

  1. Very clever, Obermoeller! LOL Nice job.

Writing in the Bluff, huh? A lady misunderstood me over the phone one time and thought I said Riding in the Bus. hehehe...I got a boot of that one, too.

  2. Hi Lynn, that is awesome! I'd buy that book ... did you really do that in real life?

That was nice of you to give me a shout out too.

    Best and God bless,

    Kathy

  3. I'm so original with the names, eh Lisa? Wonder if I can keep it up without boring everyone to tears with using Obermoeller in all my BBF? LOL.

And yes Kathy, I really did do that, although the sanity part, I'm not so sure about, he he he.

  8. Grace - now I know your name. The food, boy I made something different for the Christmas party. I know I made lasagna for the surprise people. I really have to put on my thinking cap for that one - it was a whirlwind (like the picture looks which is what reminded me of it). Can't wait to read your blurb.
    Thanks Margo, Ellie and Linda.

  11. LOL...so funny. And so glad she was able to do all that. It would be a horror novel if I were the main character!

  16. You really did this? Wow! (And I'm waiting to see how long you can keep up with the "Obermoeller" character, too. I think it's a perfect name for a main character, no matter what the genre!)

And Linda has piqued my interest. What kind of cupcakes is she talking about?

  18. Septembermom, Dazee Dreamer, and Tony thanks for stopping by. I'll check out Lisa's blog again and see if you all are there. If you all have a blog, let me know so I can follow you too!

Sioux, follow my Lynn, What's for Dessert? blog and eventually you'll be able to see what the cupcakes are all about.
